Afghan Apple
Apple is one of the oldest fruits in existence in Afghanistan, and apple trees are well-suited climatically. Based on the variety and where they are grown, they are harvested, mostly, in seven provinces: Balkh, Kabul, Ghazni, Logar, Parwan, Kandahar and Wardak, but apples are grown in 23 other provinces too. Coming to the availability factor, they are available from October to February based on its variety.

Currently, there are 3 varieties of apple in Afghanistan: Red Delicious, Golden Delicious and Granny Smith (known as Green Delicious in Afghanistan).
